Key job responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop a team of Solutions Architects to expand their technical capabilities and enable them to be effective customer-facing advisors

  • Engage with AWS Partners to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and then align your team to provide architectural guidance, design support, and hands-on technical assistance

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other AWS teams (e.g., sales, marketing, services) to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to joint customers

  • Capture and share best practices within the broader Solutions Architect community to elevate the overall level of technical expertise

  • Build deep relationships with decision-makers at AWS Partner organizations to position them as trusted advisors and "cloud advocates" for their customers

As a Manager on this team, you will lead a group of talented Solutions Architects who are passionate about helping our partners succeed. Together, you will work closely with AWS sales, marketing, and services teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive cloud adoption. Your team will be at the forefront of emerging cloud technologies, constantly learning and sharing knowledge to stay ahead of the curve. About the team

The AMER Partner Solutions Architect team is responsible for scaling the discovery, development, and delivery of high-quality cloud capabilities for AWS customers with AWS partners. We work closely with AWS sales, partner, and engineering teams to ensure our partners have the technical support and resources they need to build successful cloud-based businesses. Our team's vision is to be the best place to build cloud-enabled business. As a Manager, you'll be a key leader for this mission, helping to drive partner and customer adoption, innovation, and success on AWS.

Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Houston, TX, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience

  • 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience

  • 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
