Chevron Corporation I&E Designs Engineer in Belle Chasse, Louisiana

Chevron is accepting online applications for the I&E Designs Engineer position through June 1st, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (CT).

The Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Designs Engineer will work collaboratively across multiple levels and disciplines in the organization and provide technical I&E engineering expertise to improve the safety and performance of I&E equipment in the area. The position will support a process area and be responsible for the instrument and electrical designs, execute small to medium level I&E projects in the area, make recommendations for design improvements, act as I&E technical support for the area and the I&E maintenance shop, provide process and I&E troubleshooting support, and be involved in TAR (turnaround) I&E scope/input/project execution.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Make formal recommendations for equipment repairs/replacements/improvements

  • Provide Engineering support and technical guidance for I&E maintenance problems

  • Provide input to I&E related Management of Changes (MOC)

  • Drive assigned Reliability Resolution Tracker items to resolution

  • Unit Reliability Brief (URB) presentations and participation for I&E related items

  • Develop Engineering Work Orders/Scope Packages (EWOs) for small to medium I&E projects

  • Support Facility Integrity and Reliability Management (FIRM) initiatives

  • Reliability & Integrity Steering Committee (RISC) presentations and participations for I&E related items

  • Participate in IA and Electrical Business Improvement Network (BIN)

  • Participate in Oronite Community of Practice (CoP)

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
