Western Kentucky University's School of Media & Communication is seeking a non-tenure eligible full-time faculty member to join our team in August 2024 at the rank of Instructor I. The successful candidate will teach introductory courses required for Broadcasting, Journalism, and Visual Journalism and Photography majors that develop foundational skills in various forms of media, including photography, video, writing and design. Other responsibilities include teaching additional courses in the School, student advising, Mountain Workshops administration, Hearst Competition coordination and other service to the School and University, as requested by the Director of the School of Media & Communication.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Earned master's degree in a media-related field.

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of visual media.
