The Department of Psychological Sciences within the Ogden College of Science and Engineering at Western Kentucky University seeks a full-time, temporary Instructor. The position is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment for the 2024-2025 academic year. Candidates will be expected to teach lower-level undergraduate courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Lifespan Developmental Psychology), and other undergraduate courses as needed, and assist with undergraduate advising.

The Department of Psychological Sciences offers a B.S. and minor in Psychological Science, a minor in Neuroscience, a Joint Undergraduate-Masters Program (JUMP), and an M.S. in Psychology program with concentrations in Psychological Science and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Our department serves approximately 200 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students.

Employment begins on August 15, 2024.

Job Requirements:

  • A Master's degree (or higher) in Psychology (or a closely related field) should be earned by time of appointment.

  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching undergraduate students.
