Job Description:

As a MIG Welder you will be responsible for welding various types of steel and alloys used in the fabrication of playground equipment. The primary materials include galvanized steel (90% of projects), stainless steel, aluminum, and black steel, along with alloys. The materials are typically thinner gauges, up to 1/8" thick, requiring precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding based on blueprints

  • Conduct fixture welding, moving materials into welding bays

  • Weld galvanized steel and other materials

  • Work with materials ranging from thinner gauges to 1/8" thick

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. during the welding process

Skills:

  • MIG welding

  • Blueprint reading

  • Fixture welding

  • Galvanized welding

  • Tape measure proficiency (up to 1/32")

  • Fitting skills

  • Weld shop experience

  • Flux core welding

  • Fabrication skills

  • Experience with Mild steel and other alloys

Qualifications:

Nice to Haves:

  • 2-year welding degree

  • Experience in pipe welding

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 1-year recent experience (or equivalent schooling) in MIG welding

  • Ability to read welding blueprints (will be tested)

  • Proficient in reading a tape measure with precision up to 1/32"

  • Capability to lift 50 lbs. with no restrictions
