Nestlé Purina has a large presence in Oklahoma City with one of our dry pet food factories located just 10 miles outside of downtown. This position shares responsibility with factory management for assuring compliance to Nestle Purina Quality and Food Safety Standards policies and programs to assure the food safety and high quality of pet foods manufactured at this location. The primary focus and responsibility is that of developing, implementing, managing, reviewing, revising and enforcing the HACCP program and HACCP principles at the factory in accordance with corporate and regulatory guidance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing Product and Process Specifications Reviews (PPSRs) and Product Change Requests (PCRs) to assess their impact on food safety.

  • Conducting thorough assessments of any new items, considering their potential impact on food safety hazards, with a specific focus on foreign material procedures.

  • Reviewing process changes to identify and address any potential introduction or alteration of current food safety hazards.

  • Actively participate in internal and external audits, as well as collaborating with the plant's food safety team to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

  • Regularly reviewing and analyzing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) data to update and maintain the HACCP Plan, ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains excellent safety record and promotes safety in all lab and non-lab activities among all personnel

Support the achievement and improvement of OKC Quality objectives as detailed in the Operational Master Plan and KPI measures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED

3+ years of food safety and HACCP experience preferred

1+ years experience with internal auditing or regulatory inspections preferred

*Employee must obtain HACCP certification within 1 year of start date.

The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000.00 - $57,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
