Job Description

The Sr. SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, support and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of county applications. They will also help with technically lead future projects of migrations to new SQL versions and eventually into the Cloud. Azure experience is the platform of choice but experience in other cloud platforms may work as well. Other duties include providing application support for server based applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of MS SQL Server experience required

• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• Knowledge of High-Availability and Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server

• Experience working with Azure SQL Server (Data Studio, some Cloud administration, Etc)

• Ability to pass and maintain a Sheriff CLETS enhanced background check - SQL Certifications
