This company is located in the Fontana, California region and is offering a dynamic, mulit-faceted short-term contract / temporary opportunity where effort is rewarded. In this role, the Staff Accountant holds responsibility for preparing monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A very involved position, this role produces Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision

• Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

• Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules Requirements - Purchase Orders experience

• Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Debits experience desired

• Credit experience required

• Code Invoices experience highly desired

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Experience with ERP systems

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Strong attention to detail
