Description
Your talents will be used to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. The person in this role will be well compensated and offered a benefits package and the opportunity for advancement.
Key responsibilities
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

Requirements - Great attention to detail
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Able to manage time well
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Skilled with ERP systems
Alternative Investments experience preferred
Deep understanding of funds
Fund accounting experience desired
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
