MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and three years of related experience with Peer Review Publications.

JOB DESCRITPION:

Conducts innovative scientific investigations by developing scientific methods and project design. Has full responsibility for executing experiments, interpreting, organizing data, assisting other employees, and coordinating overall project assignments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

A Senior Scientist III position is immediately available at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Our research laboratory employs experimental models to study a neuromuscular autoimmune disease. Research projects focus on the development of immunotherapy to improve or cure the disorder.

We seek a highly motivated and experienced scientist. The selected candidate must have a strong background/training in cellular biology, molecular science, and immunology. Basic research experiences/skills are required, including siRNA, PCR, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting, cell culture, ELISA, and animal handling experiences. The selected candidate would be expected to perform experiments independently, help PI with training other researchers, organize data, draft manuscripts or grant applications, and present research findings in meetings and/or conferences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
