Install, wire and troubleshoot all electrical components. Must be instrumental in training all new electricians. Assemble a variety of different electrical components. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Meet minimum safety and 5S standards. Assemble harnesses, cables, switch panels, circuit boards, and a variety of different electrical components. Troubleshoot both 12 V DC and 110V AC circuitry. Troubleshoot all systems. Repair defects. Report repetitive quality issues. Be able to use hand and air tools as required. Meet all QA and QC standards for each assembly task. Ensure parts are assembled per instructions for proper appearance and function. Assist in training other personnel. Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook. Ensure that hazardous waste is placed into the proper container(s). Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment): One year of automotive electrical installation and troubleshooting experience preferred. Advanced automotive mechanical knowledge preferred. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicates simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision. Ability to read and understand complex schematics and electrical layouts. Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices including, but not limited to volt meters and test lights. Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Understand relationship between voltage, current, and resistance. Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools such as drills, screw gun. Complete understanding of both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry. Ability to use basic mathematics. Must have good knowledge of automotive electronics. Must complete company approved electrical training course. Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards. Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
