Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Laguna Hills, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team located in Laguna Hills, California. This role is integral to our non-profit organization, focusing on independent living communities. The selected candidate will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Handle all aspects of billing functions to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing

• Implement and manage fund accounting practices within the non-profit sector

• Engage in operational finance tasks, maintaining a hands-on approach to job responsibilities

• Liaise with board members regarding financial matters, rent, and payroll

• Manage a part-time team member responsible for AP/AR

• Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date

• Resolve customer credit inquiries, process customer credit applications, and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Fund Accounting, preferably in a Non-Profit environment

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Proven track record in managing and leading an accounting team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and dependability.
