Ale House 1890, located in the historic business district of Downtown Lancaster, Ohio, is currently seeking an experienced professional to be our Front of House Manager (Mgr). The Mgr. will be pro-active in the operation of the dining room, event space, and bar with the responsibilities including but not limited to, maintaining food and safety standards, employee scheduling, ordering of supplies and alcohol, ensuring food quality and visual appeal, along with efficient cook times during meal service, happy hour, events and late-night business. The Mgr. will fill front of the house positions as needed. The Mgr. will work closely with the Head Chef and owner to ensure all measures are properly taken to meet company standards. Mgr. needs to have strong leadership skills. The ability to delegate responsibility, handle conflict resolution. Mgr. must possess the ability to cut labor and run a lean staff when the need arises. The Mgr. will lead and train staff in various positions in the front of house.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Restaurant Manager, Chef, Kitchen Manager, Assistant Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager experience required.
• Leadership experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage trends in conjunction with costing.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, liquors, and beers.
• Understand safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to manage a team in fast paced work environment.
• Able to be certified and uphold all Fairfield County Health Department and ServSafe guidelines.
• Ability to delegate and execute events of 20-100 guests.
• 2-year degree with 3 years of industry experience preferred.* *

Pay: Negotiable to experience 45K starting +Benefits
