*Job Location: Choctaw Regional Medical Center *

*General Summary: *Under general direction, the floor tech will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility. The tech will perform preventative maintenance on special floor equipment. The floor tech will oversee the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Essential Functions:

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors, tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
• Always observe safety precautions, such as the use of safety signs "wet floor", etc.
• Ability to work without normal supervisor.
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal, and local regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
