Job Description

A large paint manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to join their Manufacturing plant in Mesquite, TX. This role is overseeing the Paint Manufacturing team as well as the packaging teams with a total of 15 overall reports with 2 direct reports (Leads/Assistant Leads). This will be overseeing the 2nd shift, 2:45PM-11:15PM. This role will drive and coordinate daily activities of production process through the manufacturing & process leads on 2nd shift, remove production constraints, allocate human and equipment resources, and direct production employees to attain all production goals. They will actively participate in root cause and corrective action implementation to remove production constraints and continuously improve product quality. This Manager will also manage an effective 5S continual improvement system for the production areas.

Skills and Requirements

• Associates degree or higher (ideally in Engineering field)

• 5+ years experience within Manufacturing Industry

• 2+ years experience in a Leadership/Managerial role within Manufacturing plant

• Proven experience leading 2nd shift

• Strong safety implementation knowledge

• String decision making skills

• Strong communication and people management skills - SAP ERP experience

• Chemical Manufacturing experience null
