THE OPPORTUNITY

The LPN provides high quality preventative healthcare to our members in our Primary Care Clinic located in Midwest City, OK.  You will collaborate with physicians and office staff to devise innovative solutions to improve the quality of healthcare delivery.  You will possess an incredibly caring attitude and utilize our in-house technology platform to accomplish these goals.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Interviews patients to obtain a brief incident, allergy and medication history

  • Measures and observes vital signs and records in chart, if applicable

  • Assists in the collection, labeling and forwarding of specimens for laboratory analysis

  • Assists physician with the examination, treatments, and procedures as directed

  • Prepares exam rooms; sterilizes instruments for tests according to established procedures

  • Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions

  • Maintains adequate inventory of drugs and medical supplies; order as needed

  • Facilitates patients referrals for diagnostic studies or consultation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • LPN License

  • Four years or more of clinical experience

  • Experience working with geriatric populations

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and caring demeanor

  • Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail

  • Excellent ability to organize and follow-up

    Physical Requirements:

  • Full range of body motion, including handling and transferring patients, manual and finger dexterity; including eye-hand coordination

  • Requires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching at arm’s length and overhead in a clinic for prolonged periods of time 

  • Requires ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Must be able to lift and move patients and medical equipment as needed

  • Requires ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs 

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have own means of transportation

  • Must be results-oriented with a focus on quality execution and delivery
