The Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager, DACH, NL, CEE & Israel (the “Regional Manager”), will be the primary ethics and compliance advisor for and liaison to Dentsply Sirona’s businesses in the following countries within EMEA: Germany, Austria, Switzerland (collectively, “DACH”) & the Netherlands; Poland, Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania; Czechia, Slovakia & Hungary; Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Slovenia, Moldova, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina & Romania; Israel, Malta, Cyprus & Greece.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for promoting a strong culture of compliance at Dentsply Sirona within their region, reviewing and evaluating compliance-related issues/concerns, and supporting compliance-related processes (e.g., Third Party due diligence, training). They will be expected to partner closely with management to help employees understand and follow applicable local and international laws as well as Company policies and procedures, including the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct . They will also have opportunities to support compliance-related projects throughout the EMEA region and at the global level.

The Regional Manager will report directly to the Senior Ethics & Compliance Director, EMEA, based in the United Kingdom, and will be part of the Global Ethics & Compliance team under the direction of the Vice President, Global Ethics & Compliance Officer, based in the United States. They will also dotted-line report into the GVP & GM, DACHNL and the VP, General Manager, Central Eastern Europe, and be part of both leaders’ management teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes a compliant tone at the top and in the middle; serves as an influential leader within their region.

  • Assesses ethics and compliance risks and implements appropriate compliance controls and other mitigating measures, as needed.

  • Drafts, implements, maintains and/or revises local/regional compliance policies, procedures, guidance and other related documents.

  • Develops a risk-based regional compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees and people managers, as well as ongoing training and education for employees and Third Parties.

  • Drafts and disseminates regular compliance communications in their region, including promotion of the Hotline and non-retaliation policy, policy reminders and guidance, and information regarding new and existing compliance issues, laws and regulations, and enforcement actions.

  • Serves as the main point of contact for compliance-related queries in their region, including interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (“KOLs”), Healthcare Professionals (“HCPs”) and distributors.

  • Monitors Dentsply Sirona’s locations in their region for compliance with Company standards, policies and procedures.

  • Supports internal and external compliance audits of Dentsply Sirona’s businesses in their region.

  • Leads and/or assists with internal investigations as directed by the regional and/or global Ethics & Compliance departments.

  • Ensures that compliance-related issues/concerns within the Company are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.

  • Monitors new compliance-related legislation and industry trends in their region to assess changes required in Dentsply Sirona policy.

  • Supports the company’s Data Privacy program, including compliance with regional Data Privacy laws, by partnering with regional Data Privacy Coordinators and privacy lawyers and compliance professionals.

Requirements and Education:

You hold at least a Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Ethics and Compliance field . You have extensive experience in the DACH region as well as knowledge in the other regions within your portfolio.

You have knowledge of and experience advising on applicable local/international laws and regulations related to: anti-bribery and anti-corruption, interactions with HCPs (public and private), anti-competition, data privacy, and international trade (sanctions, export controls, anti-boycott) and you are familiar with operational, compliance, financial, and HR procedures and regulations.

You have strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to express complex information and processes in a clear, concise and compelling manner. You are able to seek buy-in from management on compliance requirements.

Fluent in English and German , you have the ability to travel as required (around one to two times per quarter to conduct training, participate in audits, or meet with other ethics & compliance team members).
