Aerotek is hiring shipyard Outside Machinists for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Norfolk, VA. Prior Navy and applicable shipyard experience required for role. Hourly pay is based off specific experience.

Contract Length: Contract-To-Hire
Pay: $22-$25/hr., depending on experience
Job Description/Requirements:
Conducting diesel engine repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls as well as other types of engines
Assist in tearing down, repairing, replacing, and installing reduction gears
Working on Large Mechanical Systems and heavy equipment by staging equipment and material, bolting up equipment, installing equipment and machinery
Assist in replacing the Stern Gate
Assist in repairing the Steering Ram
Conduct generator repairs, rebuilds and overhauls
Responsible for repairing deck equipment and deck machinery
Pump and Valve Overhaul
