Description We are looking to permanent a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist based in Oakland, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial obligations of our organization, ensuring all invoices are paid accurately and on time. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and reconcile invoices, verifying all details before making payments.

• Maintain and manage vendor relationships, resolving any issues or discrepancies that might arise.

• Oversee the billing process, ensuring that all invoices are sent out on time and accurately.

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, payments, and invoices.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely budgeting and financial reporting.

• Keep up-to-date with any changes in financial regulations and industry best practices.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as required.

• Utilize financial software to process payments and maintain records.

• Implement and maintain systems for the efficient and effective management of accounts payable.

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with invoices and payments promptly and professionally. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role is required.

• Strong knowledge of billing processes and procedures.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
