Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Total Quality Specialist will monitor the quality of assigned categories throughout the full product life cycle. This position evaluates food and non-food products against established quality metrics and standards to ensure adherence to specification. This position will adhere to an established quality program in the evaluation of finished products, identify quality trends, and communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally. This role works very closely with Total Quality, Purchasing, Distribution, Culinary, and Restaurant Excellence to help achieve objectives.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• Monitors ongoing compliance and specification adherence through regularly scheduled product evaluations and onsite supplier visits

• Monitors quality incident reporting system and supports restaurant operators with resolution to issues with timely response

• Monitors real time temperature monitoring program with timely follow ups and resolution with suppliers and distributors

• Proactively develops honest, trusting, and collaborative relationships with internal Raising Cane’s teams and suppliers

• Ensures quality expectations and specifications are met

• Ensures suppliers develop and implement corrective and preventative actions in response to specification deviations

• Develops and implements new product innovations and solutions

• Compiles regular and ad hoc reports to improve quality within given categories managed

• Utilizes knowledge of the restaurant and/or manufacturing industry to maintain and improve quality of Raising Cane’s products through processing, storage, and distribution

• Compiles and analyzes quality data to identify trends and provides suggested solutions

• Maintains qualified supplier database and manages supplier approval process

• Monitors, communicates, and proactively ensures compliance to laws and regulations impacting food processing

Requirements for Success:

• 1-3 years quality assurance experience and experience in a restaurant and/or food manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and restaurant operations, particularly in a chicken concept (or willingness to learn)

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing

• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively

• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; preferably incident and inventory management systems

• High-level of integrity, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Exercises good judgement in decision making with a strong desire to learn and apply knowledge

• Able to keep up with the fast pace of a high-growth company

• Ability to travel up to 30%

• BS degree in Food Science, Poultry Science, or other with related work experience
