Overview:

The Development Director key responsibility will be to build, execute and deliver against CROSSMARK enterprise new business revenue and profit goals for various Customer teams. This role will work closely with multi-functional and internal teams to deliver client prospects, new business connections and long-term relationships. As the “face” of the company business development directors need to have sincere enthusiasm for CROSSMARK brand and product as well as corporate values and mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.

  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors.

  • Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.

  • Manage key client relationships and build new relationships.

  • Expand the profile and reach of the company and its capabilities.

  • Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.

  • Track emerging markets and trends.

  • Foster and work to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.

  • Identify and recommend new services.

  • Propose and develop strategic partnerships.

  • Help to shape and execute company’s long-term objectives and determine plans.

  • Research and identify new markets.

  • Provide advice on product development and distribution and promotion strategies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors.

  • Conduct webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.

  • Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts.

  • Travel to vendor locations, distributions centers, and other locations if needed.

  • Fulfill requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.

  • Help direct development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences.

Education / Experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, advertising or related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years account management and new business experience in CPG, consumer activation, marketing or retail industries.

Computer Skills/Tools & Technology :

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Proficient to Advanced. Familiarity with technology and platforms used in your field.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to be able to:

Sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and/or other peripherals. Light to moderate lifting may be required from time-to-time.

Work Environment:

Primarily office environment with mild to moderate noise levels. Frequent interaction with co-workers, vendors and consultants. Some travel required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
