Accounts Payable Manager

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

  • Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports.

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable.

  • Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed.

    The skills and experience you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 5+ years experience in accounts payable or related field

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, JDE E1 experience is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience in managing a team of accounts payable professionals

  • Experience in process improvement and implementation best practices

  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations

  • Expertise in 1099 filing requirements

  • Expertise in Sales and Use Tax
